JR WPH STARTS COLLEGIATE HANDBALL TEAM

UATucson, AZ, WPH Press, 12/9/13- Junior WPH hosted an end of semester Handball Fun Day at the University of Arizona Rec Center last Saturday, December 7th. Junior WPH held weekly clinics throughout the semester at the University of Arizona, as well as two U of A tournaments and the end of semester Fun Day. Junior WPH will continue to host clinics at the Rec Center in the spring semester to introduce the game to young adults and continue growing the WPH/U of A Program.

JR WPH GOES BACK TO SCHOOL

KHTucson, AZ, WPH Press, 11/25/13- Junior WPH is proud to have partnered with Khalsa Montessori School to teach handball at P.E. Class and during the burgeoning Junior WPH Khalsa Afterschool Handball Program for students between the ages of 7-14.  Read more, HERE>

JR WPH GOES TO PENN STATE

After_School_picPittsburgh, PA, WPH Press, 11/20/13- Junior WPH held a junior and beginner clinic for junior and beginner players of various levels of play at the Amerifit Handball Club on Thanksgiving weekend. Amerifit has hosted many the best handball players in the world over the past six years at the WPH’s RFC, including Chapman, Moreno, Lenning, Allan Garner, and Charles Shanks and was thrilled to host the Junior WPH Clinic at Pittsburgh’s WPH headquarters. JR WPH BENEFIT TOURNAMENT

JR WPH CLINICS TAKE TEXAS

Austin_Tyler_ServeAustin, TX, WPH Press, 11/12/13- The celebrated Texas State Handball Championships was held November 8th-10th at the University of Texas (UT) in Austin. Over 80 players traveled from across the state to compete for nine prestigious state titles.  WPH Coach. Martin Mulkerris, alongside Canadian handball hero and former top 5 ranked pro, Tyler Hamel, instructed over a dozen junior and college handball players on the techniques and strategies to become better handball players. JR WPH CONDUCTS CLINIC AT HANDBALL HOTBED

Big_C_Sidearm_SwingsConcord, CA, WPH Press, 11/11/13- “I almost got it!” exclaimed Mustafa, who nearly hit the target during the accuracy and implementation section of the WPH/Big C junior clinic in Concord, CA. “I’ve had the junior classes running about a year and a half, two to three times a week,” said Bob Lively, the coach of the Big C junior program, “we start the kids with lighter balls and gradually get them hitting the real handball. JR WPH UPDATES COACHING STAFF

JR WPH AT THE UNIVERSITY

U_of_A_Team_Picture10/12/13, Tucson, AZ, Press- The WPH Players of Handball, in conjunction with the University of Arizona Rec Center, held the first “Wildcats Handball Classic” for college students in the WPH/U of A handball program. 10 players competed for the first ever “Wildcats” title, as well as a gift certificate to one of the hottest restaurant/bars on campus and other prizes.
