FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS VIDEO

DSC01551Junior WPH held a Benefit Tournament in Tucson, AZ, where Paul Brady and Emmett Peixoto performed clinics alongside Abraham Montijo and local handball playing youth. After warm-ups and lessons were done, a three-man pro exhibition took place (as a Tune-Up for Colorado Race Stop #5). In the day’s finale, Ireland’s, Paul Brady (Current 4 Time world Champ / Current 9 Time National Champ), took on former #1, Emmett Peixoto (San Francisco, CA). When the dust settled, the Junior WPH raised a few thousands dollars for the development fund and local and national coaching ventures- all because of this one amazing night and tremendous support from Gurumeet Khalsa, Doug Clark, Jeff Healam, Scott Cleveland, Bob Durazo, and numerous local supporters and volunteers (Vince San Angelo, Lolita de Vincent, et al).
Filmed on Friday, March 7th, here is the Brady vs Peixoto (best 2 of 3 to 15) – watch HERE>

JR WPH GOES TO SCHOOL

KS3

Junior WPH continues to hold fantastic clinics at Khalsa School, the premiere charter school in Southern Arizona with the top 1-Wall court complex in the southwest region.

Junior WPH not only teaches handball at Khalsa Schools’s P.E. Class every week but also hosts a weekly handball after school program. Young handball players are introduced to various warm-up techniques, as well as fun drills and games to improve all of their handball strokes. Sessions usually end with a short-court king of the court game and assorted cross-training competitions. Yesterday, [Feb 11th] students competed on a ladder and jump rope timed competition to improve their agility for handball. When the session was over the kids made their parents wait so they could play more handball! Growin’ it!  WPH performs daily clinics on courts constructed by WPH Board Members and funds raised by the community.
