WPH Player’s Cup pros Samzon Hernandez, Ricky Ruiz, Timbo Gonzalez, Sal Duenas and Mando Ortiz, as well as Race 4 Eight pros David Fink, Aoife McCarthy and Catriona Casey served as coaches for an enthusiastic group of nearly 30 junior handball players during the Junior WPH clinic at the 2nd WPH-Outdoor Big Ball 3 Wall Nationwide Challenge, by JR WPH & EDTL Handball in La Mirada, CA.

The juniors received instruction from the elite pros on the two-wall serve, the kill shot and the return of serve and were then able to play doubles points with and against the game’s best players. The juniors soaked in all of the lessons and were eager to try the shots in their upcoming tournament matches. “I learned the side-front kill and to take the ball before it bounces on the return of serve,” boasted one of the juniors.

Junior WPH, WPH Outdoor and World Players of Handball provide daily junior clinics, coaching sessions and lessons at all organized tournaments, as part of their organized mission.

Hall of Famer and WPH Certified Coach John Bike is inspiring an enthusiastic group of junior handballers midway through the Junior WPH Calgary Summer Handball Camp in the Great White North. Coach Bike is stressing the fundamentals, while incorporating cross-training activities and other sports to improve footwork and conditioning.

Tucson, AZ, WPH Press, June 5, 2014– One-man Wild Wild West show and America’s Got Talent Season 9 Contestant Loop Rawlins played handball for the first time at the Tucson Racquet Club in between Junior WPH summer clinics at the Tucson Racquet Club.

“Handball is a really cool sport and I really wanted to try it,” revealed Rawlins. “I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from my good friends Dave Vincent and Dave Fink.”

Loop had an opportunity to play handball during the one-hour Tucson Racquet Club Summer Camp lunch break where WPH Certified Coaches will coach 350 handball clinics to youngsters between the ages of 7-15 throughout the summer. Rawlins received a lesson on the rules and fundamentals of the game and had an opportunity to spar with Race 4 Eight pro David Fink and Senior Race 4 Eight pro David Vincent.

“The first time that I watched Loop’s live performance I had never seen anything like it,” stated WPH Youth Donor and Development Director David Fink. “He is doing things that almost no one in the world can do and he is at the very top of the Wild Wild West performers in the world. I was obviously not alone in my assessment, as Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Mel B and the America’s Got Talent audiences were in agreement that Loop is truly a special talent and entertainer. Loop possessed some pretty impressive skills on the handball court as well.”

“The summer is a very special time for our organization because of the positive impact we are able to make with the kids at the Tucson Racquet Club Summer Camp,” revealed WPH Executive Director David Vincent. “The kids love playing handball and we are proud to head the handball department for the second consecutive summer at the camp. I don’t know of another city that is able to coach over 600 juniors over three months in this type structured and fun environment.”

Loop created an incredibly special memory for several dozen youngsters and camp counselors when he performed an impromptu Trick Roping performance on the TRC show court. The kid’s applause was deafening for Tucson’s one of a kind talent.

Coach Anderson introduces Junior WPH Coaches Catriona Casey, Aoife Mccarthy and Tanner Cleveland to the 150 campers at session two of the Tucson Racquet Club Summer Camp. Junior WPH heads the handball department at the TRC All Sports Summer Camp, coaching 50 handball lessons per week in front of area youth, as Junior WPH continues the mission to grow the sport of handball.

220 men’s, women’s and junior handball players entered the 2nd WPH-Outdoor Big Ball 3 Wall Nationwide Challenge, by JR WPH & EDTL Handball (Cup Stop #3) at La Mirada Park in Southern California, making Cup Stop #3 one of handball’s biggest events of the year.

Play kicked off on Friday afternoon with Ireland’s Aoife McCarthy and WPH WR48 #5 playing in her first ever 3-Wall big ball tournament match. McCarthy advanced past Long Beach’s Deana Mitchell in two games and will play top seed Tanisha Groomes on Saturday morning. “I really don’t have many expectations,” revealed McCarthy. “I’m just going to try my best and have a good time.” The rest of the women will also be in action in the round of eight on Saturday morning.  More HERE>
