JR WPH is proud to support Jerome Santerre’s Quebec jr handball program, providing WPH shirts & gloves for Coach Jerome’s Canadian jr program. Coach Jerome meets with his players at lunchtime at their high school and on Saturdays. 

The Quebec juniors sported their WPH gear at the 2026 World WallBall Championships in NYC on the third week of September, with the juniors developing an even deeper passion for the game in 1-Wall’s hotbed.

“Our handball program, established over a decade ago at Externat Saint-Jean-Eudes in Quebec City, has been a resounding success,” stated Quebec JR WPH Coach Jerome Santerre. “Founded by Donald Cote and Kathleen Bedard, both esteemed members of the CHA’s hall of fame, the program has coached numerous juniors in the one-wall game. Some of these students have even gone on to compete in four-wall tournaments, including Samuel Richer and Guillaume Chouinard. With my recent relocation near the high school and Donald’s retirement from the program, I have become more involved in the handball initiative. During lunchtime activities, we have seen a significant turnout of students eager to develop their one-wall handball skills, with up to 30 participants this year. I also provide coaching every Saturday afternoon for students and members of our regional club, Club de Wallball de Quebec. Our goal is to continue promoting and teaching the sport to the students, increasing court availability, and ensuring their continued participation and competition beyond high school. The interest shown by recent graduates Mylan Boudreault, Christophe Boivin, and Antoine Mercier is encouraging.”
